I think we accomplished everything we wanted to this past weekend. Lying in bed last night recapping everything we did, I let out such a big sigh of relief (not that I'm glad everything is over but that we did everything we set out to do). And don't get mad but I didn't take any pictures or video footage of this weekend whatsoever. For that I am so sorry.
Friday night we attended our church's cookout. Of course, Gavin enjoyed playing with the Pastor's son rather than eating the delicious food that was available.
Saturday morning we had a garage sale while Gavin went with Grammy to the Doggy Beach in Fort DeSoto. Yes, Grammy treated him like a dog. They played fetch and everything. :) The garage sale was somewhat successful. Saturday afternoon till night, we had a wonderful family time with just the three of us; taking naps, eating dinner and going for a walk. Love that time!
Sunday morning we attended church while Gavin spent the day with Papa and Nani (my dad and his wife, Karen). After church, we helped my fitness friend, Brandi, move into their home in Palm Harbor. When we got home, a nap was needed. Then I accomplished something that really made my weekend; I cleaned out our cars (even vacuumed!) I could not believe the things we left in our cars; from clothes to cups to mold and sticky gum. Yucky! Gavin came home then we headed to Mema's house for swimming and a cookout. Gavin wants to swim on his own so badly that he keeps pushing my hands away from him until he's about to go under.
Monday morning we headed to the beach to meet up with Aunt Heather, Dylan and their friends. Gavin got tackled by the waves on more than one occasion but he loved every minute of it! We stayed for about 3 hours and then went home for lunch and yet more naps. When we woke up, we took a trip to the grocery store and started laundry. We ate, went for a walk and relaxed some more until nite-nite time. That's when Eric and I started Insanity! Click the word to find out what we got ourselves into. After the physical abuse of working out, we rested while watching Tough Enough. Memorial Day Weekend accomplished!
No one would oddly stare as you break out into song that expresses your feelings. Everyone would know your melody and sing along in harmony. Everything that needed to be said would rhyme and it could all be said within 3 minutes. No one would look at you differently if you started dancing as I'm sure they would join you in step. You could pretty much use jazz hands whenever you wanted without feeling stupid.
Why can't life be like a musical?
Yes, this past weekend, I watched High School Musical 1, 2 and 3. Don't hate because they have some catchy tunes! It just made me think how musicals, movies and tv shows make life seem so simple and easy to come by; that all of life's problems are resolved within 30 minutes to 2 hours. Not fair.
Calendar, QuickBooks, Calculator, Phone, Cell phone, Spreadsheets, Invoices, Pens, Highlighters, My notebook, Plate and Fork after eating lunch (or a dessert), and the much needed Toilet Paper! :)
Now, I'm not a big reader to begin with. But this "required reading" from high school captured my heart. To this day, this is the ONLY book that has made me cry (I'm talking sobbing!)

Subject I love you
Sweetie, I am going to go to bed but I just wanted to say that I love you! You're my first thought in the morning and my last at night. When something horrible happens I want to call you and talk to YOU about it first and foremost. When something wonderful happens I want to let you know so we can share it together. I miss NYC...but all those thoughts evaporate once a thought of your smile enters my thoughts. The only reason I was sent back to Florida was to go through the maze of life so I could meet the perfect woman for me. The one who was going to be patient with me. The one who is going to push me to do better. The one who is going to love me unconditionally. And the one who I am going to lead for the rest of her life.
I’m not sure if you’ve heard or seen online that the Rapture will happen May 21, 2011 and then the end of the world will happen October 21, 2011. I looked at some of the facts and figures regarding this prediction and I, personally, do not believe it. I honestly think that the Lord will rapture his followers in His timing and in secret.
However, this does bring to light the fact of knowing for sure if you’re going to be raptured or even going to heaven. I do not know your hearts (only God does). But in order to get to heaven, you must understand and admit that you are a sinner. No matter how “good” you think you are, you sin on a daily basis. Then you must believe that Jesus came to this earth and died for your sins. Because of this act of love, your sins are null and void if you believe. Finally, you must totally rely on Christ on faith alone for your salvation. No good work or deed is going to get you into heaven.
To proclaim this, simply pray to God to forgive you of your sins and confess that you believe that He sent His Son, Jesus to die for you. I am not afraid of dying or when “the end of the world” will take place, but I am afraid of not seeing my loved ones in heaven with me.
I’m not proclaiming to be a perfect little Christian; making all the right choices. But I am proclaiming that I’m forgiven by my Creator and that I will live forever in heaven.
Family, we pray for you every night! I will do my best to record Gavin's prayers for you as they are the cutest thing you'll ever see. We love you all so please let us know if you personally know our Savior! We don't like playing the guessing game. :)
I do have Scripture to explain the plan of Salvation. Please contact me or Eric if you have any questions regarding your salvation. You can also go to my church's website and email my pastor for more theological explanations. http://www.gulfcoastfellowship.org/
Yesterday was Gavin's official birthday! Now I can admit that I have a 2-year old. The night before, Eric and I reminisced the start of the contractions and then 6 hours later we had a baby. Still seems so surreal to me. Anyhow, I took the day off yesterday so I could spend it with my birthday boy!
We woke up and at first Gavin was all smiles and running around free as a bird. Then he got excited about breakfast until we entered the kitchen. He started dry heaving but nothing would come up. Then about 15 minutes later, we found out what was wrong. Gavin's tummy was hurting and it resulted in liquid poop and lots of it. :( Kinda glad he stayed home with us. After a few explosions, he had a bath and then barely ate breakfast. Poor kid. Since he kept running around, we figured it was ok to take him out.
We went to Countryside Mall and it was empty! It was nice because Gavin could run around without me worring about him running into anybody. We went to the Disney store and I think this is his new favorite place. He saw a BUNCH of Cars stuff as well as Nemo! We can't wait till we can take him to the actual Disney park so he can be amazed some more. I'm surprised that we walked out of the Disney store like no big deal.
Then from the mall, we went to the Spray Park in Dunedin. I could not believe how many kids were there! Isn't school still in session? The water was a bit cold but Gavin at least tried to enjoy himself.
After the Spray Park, we went home and just relaxed....or at least tried to. We ran a few more errands, ate dinner then Eric left for school. After his 2nd bath of the day, we snuggled on the couch till I realized that it was night-night time.
As you read earlier, Gavin got a motorcycle powerwheels for his birthday. At first, he didn't want to get on it if it was moving. So we tried again last night and now we can't get him off of it....
Let me see if I can quickly tell you what I've been doing since Thursday.....
Thursday night, we threw Gavin a birthday party with family.
Here, Gavin is noticing that I'm holding his younger cousin, Baylor.
Gavin had a fit and kept saying, "Up please!"
So he got "up" and I had to hold my baby.
Papa's gift to Gavin was obviously a motorcycle!
G-Pa and his great-grandsons!
Friday night, we attended Dylan's school program then went to Hooters afterwards (where Heather and I received multiple 'Mother of the Year' awards!)
Saturday morning, Heather and I went shopping for Cindy's surprise birthday decorations. Then we dropped the kids off at a friend's house. Then we (Eric, my in-laws and me) went to Aces & Eights to get tatooes. Yes, you read that correctly. It was our fun family outing! LOL! Cindy's design was too small so she couldn't get one with us. But the rest of us permanently marked our skins and it made for some awesome memories. For security reasons, I will not post all pictures.

Heather's Tattoo
Eric's Tattoo (He had the cross before)
My Tattoo (looks like I had the goosebumps and acne!)
After the tatooes, we picked up the kids and went home to say good-bye to Jeff. Then Heather and I had to decorate for Cindy's surprise party at the hotel near the beach! After that, we went home and got ready, my mom came over to watch Gavin then Eric and I headed to the party. Cindy was definitely surprised and we all had a great night out! For security reasons, I wll not post all pictures.
BEST PICTURE EVER!!!
Sunday morning, we went to breakfast with Eric's Grandpa and spent some time with him before his flight back to OH. Sunday night, we went to Cindy's house for a birthday dinner and cake. By the time we got home, we all hit the sack pretty hard and slept throughout the night! PHEW!!!!
